GROUP MEETINGS We have facilities for planning conferences or family reunions of up to 8 persons. Conferences or groups may, by special arrangement, be provided with additional meals, tours of historical sites, wildlife tours, auctions, or just sightseeing of noteworthy places within 60 miles of Fredericksburg.
OPTIONAL SERVICES AND TOURS
The following optional services, tours, and packages.
By prior arrangement, we can arrange horseback riding. If you own your own horse, and want to bring it, let us know, and we’ll discuss options and available services.
By prior arrangement, we also off Cowboy Campfire Suppers, complete with hayride, campfire cooking and sing-along of the history of Texas in song and story, gunfight reenactment, Texas Revolution sightseeing tours, starting with the Alamo, and following the path of the Runaway Scrape to the plains of San Jacinto, day tours of Austin, Texas, including a tour of the capital building, lunch at the historic Driskill Hotel, and a visit to the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. For western history buffs, we offer a tour of the scenes of the historic "Hoodoo War", a real Texas feud fought in neighboring Mason County, Texas, in the 1870's. Other tours and event may be planned according to needs and wishes of visitors. Just ask Jim Chapman for details.
Jim Chapman is an amateur military historian, and has a lot of inside knowledge about the exhibits of the Nimitz Museum, and the history of the Pacific War. Special guided tours of the Nimitz are available by prior arrangement.
By prior arrangement, we can offer a five day guided tour of the Texas Revolution, from the opening shots at Gonzalez, to the final victory at San Jacinto (includes guided tour of USS Texas, the only dreadnought class battleship still in commission, and the only one which took part in both World Wars). Visitors can follow the movements of troops, and stand where the Texicans stood when they won their independence. Texas is the only state in the United States that was an independent nation before it became a state (and has the right to subdivide into five smaller states).
